Right, well, i've been drawing and painting quite a bit today. It's just a shame most of it was crap! But, i worked a bit on a picture i'm getting a friend to colour, and it's quite a cool image now. I got a good friend from college to do the colours, but i'm not sure when or if he's gonna do it.
I'll put the finished image on here when it's all done i think. And a link for said friend's deviantart account. But, for now, i've got a little 'step by step' thing on how i created the non-couloured image.

These first two images are the original sketch, and then the painted version, for which i used a grey teal acrylic and lots of water. I did this yesterday, but when i got out of bed this morning i thought about adding some soldiers, so i drew one up.

After i'd drawn the soldier, i was going to just stick it on the page with the family, but it didn't fit. I cut the images out and stuck them on the back of a card envelope i recieved this morning, then painted the whole thing to tidy it up. Just after i started painting the card, i thought about making the hooded girl holding up the blanket like a flag or cover or something, so i stuck more paper on and finished painting.
I'm really proud of this pic, i think it's my first 'group shot' as i usually go for single characters.
Anyway, i gotta head out now, so i might add to this blog some other time.
